Kevin Roy - Festival Director

Professor Roy arrived at EOU in 2005 from the University of Georgia after receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in Digital Media. He has extensive professional film production and web development experience. His films have exhibited internationally and nationally at various festival venues. In 2001, he was presented with the Best Film/Film Industry Website Award at the South By Southwest Interactive Festival for his collaborative work with Dreamspan and the Short Attention Span Film Festival.


Suranga Hettiarachchi, Ph.D - Festival Judge

Professor Hettiarachchi received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Wyoming and joined Eastern Oregon University in 2007. Dr. Hettiarachchi's research focus is on swarm robotics and multi-agent learning. Professor Hettiarachchi is originally from Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Chris Jennings - Festival Judge

Chris is a creative media developer in Union county and is very active in creating media opportunities in rural areas. Jennings created and managed the development of the inaugural year of the La Grande Summer Film Project - a project that aimed to get the community involved in developing four fifteen-minute short videos over the course of a week and then premiered them in downtown La Grande along side the Crossing the Blues: La Grande Summer Festival.

He has been involved with many film projects including "Quality of Life", "Owen Story", "Cowboys & Indians" , and "Dog Story". Chris is currently working with the city of La Grande and other creative minded institutions in the Grande Ronde Valley to promote and develop an active film and video community.
